Znany w Polsce dzięki zdobyciu Nagrody Indywidualnej podczas Krokus Jazz Festiwal 2019, urodzony w 1991 roku w dalekiej Syberiii, a na stałe osiadły w niemieckiej Kolonii saksofonista Yaroslav Likhachev, debiutuje pod flagą JazzHaus Musik albumem własnego kwartetu.
Założony w 2016 roku zespół wraz z liderem tworzą: pianista Yannis Anft, kontrabasista Conrad Noll i perkusista Moritz Baranczyk.
Album zatytułowany "Crumbling" przynosi 8 autorskich utworów młodego tenorzysty (absolwenta Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln) silnie zakorzenionych w jazzowej tradycji spod znaku największego idola Yaroslava, Benny'ego Golsona a jednocześnie śmiało czerpiących z nowoczesnych rozwiązań brzmieniowych.

The Yaroslav Likhachev Quartet exists since 2016 and it features the compositions of the band's leader and tenor saxophonist which are belonging to the field of modern jazz, deeply rooted in the US American jazz tradition.
"Crumbling" - the work with musical crumbles, fragments, sometimes almost even nuclear creative particles within the cosmos of improvised music - is about the creative act of discovering new ways on a journey to individual and inventive arranging of composing and structuring processes. Each piece of Yaroslav Likhachev's production "Crumbling" appears to be a coherent musical world: echoes from the universe of Contemporary Music, underground culture and modern jazz encounter in a colourfully contrasting manner meeting variations of bop vocabulary and its contemporary interpretation. Yaroslav Likhachev says: "The 'crumbling process' is unstoppable and develops further and further. This album is also just a photograph, just a detail of the process itself".
