W programie albumu znajdziemy takie utwory jak m.in. "Take On Me" (z repertuaru grupy A-ha), "What is Love” (Haddaway), "Rhythm is a Dancer” (Snap!), czy "Dancing In The Dark" (Bruce Springsteen).

“The Universal Language - music - is made up of many dialects. Bodek Janke is a master of more musical dialects than anyone I can think of (...) Bodek tells a joyous music story by combining the world's musics in a personal and sophisticated way. Enjoy the journey”.
John Riley — The Village Vanguard Orchestra, New York City
SONG IN BODEK’S DIALECT
The internationally acclaimed drummer and composer Bodek Janke has launched a cross-genre experiment with his new project SONG.
SONG has an organic form and is a modern and acoustic 21st century response to the world of singer-songwriters, pop culture and its repertoire. How can cover versions of number one hits from the 90s like “What is Love” (Haddaway) or "Rhythm is a Dancer" (Snap!) still be interesting to audiences today, in a concert hall or jazz club?
Bodek Janke proves that it can be and he proves it loud! He skilfully rewrites and arranges some of the greatest hits, using his own musical language with a vast vocabulary, playfully juggling with a variety of dialects. At this point each newly arranged song becomes its own complex and interesting story with new rhythmical, melodic and harmonic structures based on Bodek's own culturally diverse background.
COVER IN DISGUISE?
The inglorious word "cover", a turn-off for many, is not something Bodek tries to avoid. On the contrary, he rises to the challenge of redefining it. SONG surprises the listener and proves that a so called cover can be something very different to what might be expected, far beyond the cliché of a corporate function band, leaving plenty of creative space for interpretation.
Bodek proves that combining the simple form of songs with the complex elements of jazz improvisation really works in his musical realm and, most of all, it is easily accessible to the listener. Ultimately, SONG needs no stylistic definition... Is it cover? Is it jazz? Is it pop? Just take it as it is: Music simply to be appreciated and enjoyed, and maybe even danced to!
